Field Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Field Engineer to support offshore and on‑shore installation projects. Working under moderate supervision, the engineer will apply technical knowledge to solve straightforward field and yard issues, ensuring safe and efficient execution of installation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop vessel layout and barge load‑out plans for transportation of materials, equipment and structures to offshore sites.
• Prepare offshore installation procedures, material lists and “Loadout Lists” in line with company standards.
• Coordinate with Marine, Electrical & Mechanical, Welding, Quality, HSES, Survey & ROV, Diving and subcontractor teams to secure equipment and personnel for project execution.
• Review and retain project drawings, flagging discrepancies, errors and omissions.
• Participate in constructability sessions, readiness reviews, hazard identification studies and job safety analyses.
• Witness and inspect pre‑rigging, load‑outs, sea fastening and receipt of fabricated structures and line pipes.
• Collaborate with logistics and production engineers to verify load‑outs and manage cargo movements.
• Ensure all work complies with Quality, Health, Safety & Environment policies.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent field experience.
• Willingness to travel offshore and work on‑site as required.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical mindset to evaluate possible solutions.
• Good communication skills for coordination with multiple disciplines and customers.

Required skills

• Experience with offshore installation procedures and load‑out planning.
• Familiarity with project drawing review and discrepancy reporting.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance in construction environments.
