Field Operator

About the role

Emirates Global Aluminium is seeking a Field Operator to ensure safe and efficient operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers and related utility services at its Jebel Ali site. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor or Main Control Room Operator and supports continuous plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor turbines, boilers, HRSGs and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Record routine parameter readings, report deviations and inform supervisors of abnormalities.
• Maintain standby equipment readiness for emergencies.
• Assist with testing and re‑commissioning after maintenance outages.
• Follow emergency procedures and adopt safe working practices.
• Identify hazards, participate in reporting and uphold housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary School Certificate.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a power station.
• At least 2 years experience as a Desalination Operator (PG7) or equivalent.

Required skills

• Interpretation of single‑line diagrams.
• Basic numeracy for calculations, percentages and unit conversions.
• IT skills for data entry and reporting.
• Problem‑solving ability in an industrial environment.
