Finance & Accounting Lead

About the role

Mintlayer is building its finance team in Abu Dhabi as the UAE becomes a global hub for institutional digital‑asset finance. The Finance & Accounting Lead will own the management accounts, month‑end close and the financial reporting pack used by leadership and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and a financial reporting pack for leadership review.
• Own the month‑end close process, including reconciliations, accruals and journal entries across all entities.
• Process vendor payments, maintain the AP ledger and manage crypto and fiat payment workflows.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Maintain the accounting system and ensure accurate transaction classification.
• Support the Head of Accounts with board‑level financial reporting and investor due diligence.
• Assist with payroll processing and coordinate contractor payment schedules.

Required profile

• 5+ years of finance and accounting experience, preferably in fintech or crypto.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent (in progress or completed).
• Familiarity with UAE financial reporting standards is preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or other ERP systems.
