Finance Controller – International Trade

About the role

Apt Resources is recruiting an experienced Finance Controller for a multinational company operating in International Trade, based in the DIFC. The role involves leading financial reporting, budgeting, compliance and internal controls to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage full accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets and bank reconciliations.
• Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, IFRS and other financial regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and develop financial policies, internal controls and risk management procedures.
• Manage cash flow, treasury operations and working capital, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a Finance Controller or Finance Manager role in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of balance‑sheet management, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and cash‑flow management.
• Proven experience handling audits and statutory reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho or Odoo.

What we offer

• Salary: AED 18,000 – 20,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications).
