Finance Manager - UAE and Saudi Arabia

About the role

SSAB is looking for a Finance Manager to support its operations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The role combines financial leadership, business partnering and operational excellence in an international environment, working closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, HR, Legal and other functions. The location is the UAE or Saudi Arabia, and travel is required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all financial and administrative activities for the entities in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
• Prepare, analyse and review financial statements, management accounts, variance reports and financial analyses to support business decisions.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and bank reconciliations.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning to support performance and cost optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, tax requirements, internal controls and SSAB policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely documentation and reporting.
• Develop, implement and improve financial policies, processes and controls.
• Support management with financial insights and ad hoc analyses, and work with auditors, tax advisors, banks and local authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related field.
• Experience in finance, accounting, controlling or a similar role.
• Good understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles and financial controls.
• Experience with audits, tax reporting or statutory compliance is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; proactive, structured, with strong ownership and accountability.
