Finance Manager – UAE

About the role

Our client is looking for a Finance Manager to lead the finance function of their UAE entity based in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees financial reporting, statutory compliance and treasury activities, ensuring robust governance and alignment with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end finance and accounting for the UAE entity, ensuring IFRS compliance and timely month‑end and year‑end closings.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Own UAE tax and statutory compliance, covering VAT filings, corporate tax, regulatory submissions and coordination with auditors.
• Drive e‑invoicing readiness and ensure finance systems stay aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Manage centralized accounting and settlement processes, revenue allocation, invoice validation and partner settlements.
• Oversee bank, payment‑gateway, partner and subsidiary reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Handle intercompany accounting, recharge billing, transfer‑pricing support and balance confirmations across group entities.
• Supervise treasury operations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, cash‑flow management and working‑capital controls.
• Provide leadership to the finance team and collaborate with Operations, HR, Procurement, Commercial and Legal on budgeting and business initiatives.
• Promote continuous improvement in finance processes, internal controls, ERP optimisation and automation.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualification such as CA, ACCA or CPA.
• 8–12 years of finance and accounting experience, including responsibility for a legal‑entity finance function.
• Strong background in financial reporting, management accounting and statutory compliance.
• Proven expertise in UAE VAT, corporate tax, regulatory compliance and audit management.
• Experience in treasury management, cash‑flow monitoring, revenue accounting and settlement processes.
• Solid understanding of intercompany accounting, financial controls and ERP‑based finance operations.
• Experience in regulated, transaction‑intensive industries (e.g., retail, BPO, banking, government services, hospitality) is preferred.
