Finance Officer – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Officer to join a leading international higher education institution in Dubai. The role will support the finance team in managing day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycle, including processing supplier invoices, payments and customer/student billing.
• Perform bank reconciliations, handle purchase orders and maintain accurate financial records in Sage 300 ERP.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare financial reports, budgets and variance analyses.
• Assist with VAT, corporate tax compliance, audit preparation and other statutory requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers and overseas finance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Strong background in bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Proficiency with Sage 300 ERP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Arabic language skills are preferred.
