Finance Trainee - High End Luxury

About the role

The Finance Trainee will support the Fashion Division finance team with budgeting, reporting and day‑to‑day financial analysis. This hands‑on learning role is ideal for a recent graduate eager to understand how a high‑end fashion business performs.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts for the division’s brands and stores.
• Collect, consolidate and verify budget inputs from retail and merchandising teams.
• Assist with monthly management reports, analysing sales, gross margin and operating expenses.
• Analyze actuals versus budget and prior year, explaining key variances.
• Support month‑end closing tasks, including accruals, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Gather data and prepare schedules or presentations for ongoing finance projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (recent graduates welcome).
• 0–1 year of experience; internships in finance, audit or retail are a plus.
• Progress towards professional qualifications (ACCA, CMA, CPA or similar) is advantageous.
• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Curious, eager to learn and a collaborative team player.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and basic formulas.
• Good grasp of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Familiarity with an ERP system such as SAP.
