Financial Accounting Assistant Manager (UAE)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accounting Assistant Manager to join a leading finance team in Dubai. The role supports and oversees financial accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations while contributing to robust reporting and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial accounting operations and month‑end/year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in line with IFRS and applicable regulations.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit requirements.
• Review reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
• Drive process improvements and ERP system optimisation, preferably SAP.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CA, CPA, or ACA) required or in progress.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or reporting.
• Experience in manufacturing, cable industry, or Big Four audit firms is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
