Financial Analyst – Budgeting & Reporting

About the role

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Analyst to join its Office of Finance. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, helping the university make data‑driven decisions and strengthen its financial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely availability of financial information for management.
• Assist in the implementation, adoption and enhancement of ERP‑enabled finance processes, particularly Oracle and Banner.
• Contribute to process improvements, system controls, workflow enhancements and standardisation within the ERP environment.
• Develop, maintain and use financial dashboards, reports and analytical tools for performance monitoring.
• Monitor financial data across systems, identify discrepancies or trends and coordinate timely resolution.
• Support budgetary controls, expenditure monitoring, forecasting and analysis against approved plans.
• Provide finance‑related support for system changes, testing, reporting requirements, data validation and user requirements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle and Banner.
• Ability to produce accurate financial reports and support budgeting processes.
• Proactive attitude towards process improvement and system optimisation.
