Financial Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Analyst with 2–3 years of relevant experience to manage and support Decode Today’s financial operations. The fully remote role involves handling accounting records, preparing budgets and forecasts, developing MIS reports, and analysing financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the company’s day‑to‑day accounting and financial records
• Maintain the books of accounts using QuickBooks
• Finalize monthly and year‑end books of accounts
• Prepare and maintain budgets and financial plans
• Prepare financial forecasts and regularly update projections
• Prepare MIS and management reports
• Analyze actual performance against budgets and forecasts
• Identify significant variances and provide explanations
• Monitor revenue, expenses, cash flow and overall financial performance
• Prepare monthly financial statements and summaries
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
• Review accounting entries to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Maintain proper supporting documentation for financial transactions
• Assist with financial planning and decision‑making
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors and other service providers
• Help improve accounting, reporting and financial processes as the company grows

Required profile

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis or a similar role
• ACCA, CA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and MIS reports
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Experience with finalisation of accounts
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial responsibilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
