Financial Analyst – Reporting & Planning

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, analysis and business decision‑making for Unison Group in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, budgeting, forecasting and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Conduct detailed P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, highlighting variances and trends.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely and IFRS‑compliant.
• Create management reports, dashboards and analytical insights for senior stakeholders.
• Investigate financial variances and provide recommendations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Risk, Operations and Business teams to validate data.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
• Support internal and external audit requirements as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting or management accounting.
• Strong hands‑on experience with P&L and Balance Sheet analysis.
• Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Advanced MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Financial modelling.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
