Financial Control Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager (Financial Controller) acts as a strategic finance business partner for Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams. You will drive profitability and operational efficiency by managing the operational P&L, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and delivering actionable financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Store Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions.
• Own and manage the operational P&L across stores, regions, and channels, ensuring profitability targets are met.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and flash reporting using driver‑based assumptions aligned with operational plans.
• Produce financial performance reports, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards for timely decision‑making.
• Analyze gross margin, sales mix, and markdown performance to identify profitability improvements.
• Monitor and control operating costs—including labor, logistics, utilities, and maintenance—and drive cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Identify, quantify, and track cost‑saving and profit‑improvement opportunities, supporting owners in corrective actions.
• Build strong cross‑functional relationships, translating financial data into actionable business insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a financial controller in retail.
• Proven experience in FMCG retail.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and P&L management.
