Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will oversee project budgets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate cost tracking and financial performance. This role collaborates closely with project management, sales, and operations teams to provide insightful financial analysis and support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets from initiation to completion, monitoring labor, material, and overhead costs.
• Identify and analyze variances, investigate overruns, and recommend cost‑saving measures.
• Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports and financial analyses for management.
• Analyze company P&L statements, track revenue streams, and forecast financial performance.
• Manage and evaluate sales pipelines to identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain strong cross‑functional relationships to ensure data accuracy and collaboration.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and cost‑control methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field (CPA or CMA a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control, project management, or a related financial role.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with cost‑control software such as Primavera.
• Familiarity with Deltek or similar project accounting tools.
