Financial Controller

About the role

The company is a multi‑business organisation operating in food manufacturing, café retail and catering. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will lead finance, inventory, purchasing and delivery scheduling across several entities, overseeing a team of eight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, produce consolidated MIS reports and maintain balance‑sheet schedules.
• Prepare a rolling 13‑week cash‑flow forecast, manage banking facilities and oversee payment prioritisation.
• Control accounts receivable and payable, maintain credit terms and supplier reconciliations.
• Oversee product costing, margin analysis, inventory counts, variance analysis and purchasing controls.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, IFRS and coordinate external audits and annual financial statements.

Required profile

• Professional finance qualification (ACCA, CMA, CA, CPA or equivalent).
• At least 8 years of finance experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, FMCG or retail environments.
• Hands‑on experience with mid‑market ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, corporate tax, IFRS and working‑capital management.
