Financial Director

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Director with a strong traditional finance foundation, preferably from UAE banking, fintech or regulated financial services, who has exposure to digital assets. The role will own the financial operating engine, making the business legible to the board, investors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own the group’s annual budget, rolling forecasts and stress‑test plans against revenue, token price and cost scenarios.
• Create integrated financial and commercial reporting, including weekly flash, monthly board packs and KPI dashboards.
• Lead P&L‑driven management across entities, product lines and markets, identifying margin leakage and cost overruns.
• Define and track a board‑approved path‑to‑profitability roadmap with measurable milestones.
• Manage multi‑currency operational treasury, including fiat and digital asset holdings, and coordinate token treasury governance.
• Implement financial controls, oversee external audit and ensure compliance with VARA, AML/KYC and Islamic finance requirements.
• Support fundraising, financial due diligence and commercial negotiations with investors and ecosystem partners.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of finance experience, including a commercially oriented role beyond pure controllership.
• UAE market experience with familiarity of local banking, regulatory environment and GCC business practices.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CFA preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to build financial infrastructure in a scale‑up or growth‑stage environment.
• Working knowledge of digital assets and ability to discuss token economics and on‑chain treasury.
• Comfortable operating in a lean team and scaling the finance function.
• Background in UAE or MENA fintech, digital banking, asset management or regulated financial services is a plus.
