Financial Remediation Officer

About the role

The Financial Remediation Officer will manage a portfolio of early‑stage delinquent accounts across personal finance, credit cards and vehicle finance products. You will engage customers, negotiate Shari’ah‑compliant repayment solutions and help prevent accounts from moving into higher‑risk buckets.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage 1–180 days past‑due accounts for Personal Finance, Credit Cards, and Vehicle Finance (Ijarah/Murabaha) facilities.
• Conduct timely follow‑ups via phone, email, SMS and field visits to collect outstanding dues.
• Negotiate settlements and restructuring options that comply with Islamic finance principles.
• Educate customers on payment obligations, consequences of default and available support options.
• Identify early warning signs of default and take preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Assistant Managers, Legal and Field teams for escalated or special cases.
• Maintain accurate interaction logs and promises‑to‑pay in the collection system.
• Achieve daily productivity targets and adhere to bank recovery KPIs.
• Ensure all actions comply with UAE Central Bank regulations, Shari’ah guidelines and internal policies.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in collections or recovery.
• Familiarity with Islamic finance products such as personal finance, credit cards and vehicle finance.
• Strong communication skills with an empathetic and professional approach.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet productivity targets.
• Knowledge of UAE banking regulations and Shari’ah compliance is preferred.
