Fire Alarm Technician

About the role

The Fire Alarm Technician will inspect, test, and maintain ADAB’s fire alarm network, including control panels, transceivers, and the central dispatching center. The role ensures all systems remain operational and compliant with UFC and NFPA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fire detection, alarm, fire door, and mass notification systems according to UFC 3-601-02 and NFPA standards.
• Respond to emergency service calls within 30 minutes and repair automatic fire alarm systems without delay.
• Provide quarterly training to Air Force personnel on fire alarm procedures and panel resets.
• Install and program new antenna masts and transceivers for newly constructed facilities, ensuring communication with the Monaco dispatch system.
• Offer technical advice to the Contracting Officer Representative for fire protection system work requests.

Required profile

• NICET Level II certification in Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems with at least 3 years of experience.
• Registered, licensed, or certified by a state or local authority.
• High school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English (read, write, speak).
• Valid US or local driver’s license, US passport, and ability to obtain a SECRET US Government clearance (US citizenship required).
• Ability to meet CENTOM medical requirements and possess any required visa.

Required skills

• NICET Level II fire alarm inspection and testing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
