Fleet Superintendent

About the role

The Fleet Superintendent will provide operational support and ensure compliance for a portfolio of vessels based in Dubai, aligning daily activities with ISO, ISM, MLC, ISPS and other international standards while supporting client and commercial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISM Code, MLC and ISPS regulations across assigned vessels.
• Prepare vessels for client inspections, on‑hire acceptance, class and flag state surveys, and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Maintain accurate records of client concerns, PSC findings, NCIORs and ensure regular follow‑up.
• Coordinate daily status updates, fuel tracking, lifting appliance inspections and manage agency/disbursement orders.
• Support implementation of Self‑Verification Programme (SVP) and Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
• Act as focal point for vessel communications, docking, repair activities and vendor service coordination.

Required profile

• Professional qualification with a Master Certificate of Competency (COC).
• Minimum of 5 + years experience supervising a large fleet of vessels.
• Demonstrated experience with maritime regulatory frameworks, ISO standards and industry compliance.

Required skills

• Heavy lift (MCV) vessel management.
• Marine operating standards and regulatory compliance.
• Management accounting and cost control.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISM Code and IMO conventions.
