Flight Instructor Examiner

About the role

Air Arabia Academy is seeking a qualified Flight Instructor Examiner to conduct flight instruction and examinations in line with GCAA CAR FCL Rev.5. This full‑time position involves delivering MPL and Instrument Rating training, overseeing standardisation, and supporting cadet development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct standardisation and proficiency checks for MPL, MPLI, IR, IRI and Flight Instructor candidates.
• Exercise Flight Instructor Examiner privileges, ensuring compliance with re‑validation requirements.
• Deliver competency‑based MPL training (multi‑crew) as an MPL Instructor and IRI training to Academy instructors.
• Act as deputy to the Chief Flight Instructor, establishing and supervising training plans and standardisation programmes.
• Liaise with partner flying schools, monitor student performance, and manage at‑risk cadets.
• Interview MPL candidates, assess suitability, and update training materials and syllabi.
• Prepare pre‑core briefings and provide ongoing mentoring, coaching, and professional support.
• Document training and examination results as required.

Required profile

• Valid CPL/ATPL with IR (GCAA CAR FCL) and Class 1 Medical.
• GCAA Flight Examiner and Flight Instructor Examiner authorisations.
• Qualified MPLI and IRI with AOC instructional approval.
• Minimum 2,000 flying hours and 100 examiner/checking hours, meeting CAR FCL recency requirements.
• English language proficiency Level 5 or higher; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
• AUPRT qualification (mandatory) and successful completion of an MPL Instructor training course at a GCAA‑approved ATO.
