Forward Deployed Application & ML Engineering Expert

About the role

SAP is seeking a Forward Deployed Application/ML Engineering Expert to design, build, and deploy AI‑powered enterprise applications for clients in the United Arab Emirates. The role blends cloud‑native engineering, machine learning, and responsible AI to turn business requirements into scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cloud‑native enterprise applications using large language models, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI agents.
• Collaborate with client teams to understand business processes, translate them into safe and sustainable architectures, and manage the full application lifecycle from prototype to production monitoring.
• Apply AI‑supported engineering practices, oversee quality, mitigate technical risks, and mentor development teams.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience in software engineering, SaaS, and enterprise cloud environments.
• Proven ability to integrate AI agents and LLMs into business operations while adhering to responsible AI guidelines.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills, including team mentorship.

Required skills

• Python programming and AI/ML libraries.
• ML frameworks, data pipelines, and MLOps practices.
• Vector databases, LLMs, RAG models, and AI agents.
• Familiarity with SAP AI Core, Vectorization, Joule Studio, RPT‑1, and Business Data Cloud.
