Fountain Designer

About the role

We are seeking a creative Fountain Designer to develop water features that combine engineering precision with aesthetic appeal. You will lead projects from initial concept sketches through to detailed construction drawings for luxury hotels, malls, landscapes, and private villas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D/3D fountain concepts based on client briefs, site conditions, and budgets.
• Create mood boards, renders, and animations to convey design intent.
• Integrate lighting, sound, and choreography for musical fountains.
• Produce detailed shop drawings, hydraulic schematics, and MEP coordination drawings using AutoCAD/Revit.
• Calculate water flow, pump sizing, nozzle performance, and filtration requirements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety standards, and DEWA regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to verify installations and resolve issues.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and technical submittals for approval.
• Research new nozzle types, LED lighting, control systems, and water‑saving technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Industrial Design.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing fountains or similar water features.
• Portfolio demonstrating built projects or high‑quality concepts with technical drawings.
• Detail‑obsessed, client‑focused mindset with ability to balance creativity and buildability.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, and Lumion.
• Experience with hydraulic simulation tools.
• Knowledge of Oasis, Hydroscan, or similar fountain design software (nice to have).
• Familiarity with DMX control systems for musical/dancing fountains (nice to have).
