Free Zone Inspection Supervisor

About the role

The Free Zone Inspection Supervisor oversees both planned and unplanned inspections of marine activities within free zones. Working closely with an outsourced inspections team, the role ensures safe and compliant operations across service and operational companies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement inspection plans for free‑zone service and operational companies.
• Coordinate with the MAQTA gateway system and DED permit system to issue NOCs and operational permits.
• Monitor inspection team performance, verify compliance with safety, security and environmental standards.
• Analyse violation databases, manage fines, and prepare corrective‑action recommendations.
• Produce KPI reports and strategic recommendations for the department head.
• Manage daily schedules of inspection specialists and support stakeholder relationships.
• Contribute to the development of inspection effectiveness assessments and regulatory improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE, Civil Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5‑6 years of experience in HSEQ/OSHAD functions, preferably within free zones or economic zones.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MAQTA automated gateway system.
• Experience using the DED permit system.
