Freelance F&B Financial & Performance Analyst

About the role

MASAR Solutions is looking for an experienced freelance Financial & Performance Analyst to support its restaurant consulting and performance diagnostic projects across the UAE. The role turns complex restaurant data into accurate financial insights, identifies performance gaps and supports evidence-based business recommendations. It is a remote, project-based engagement with no fixed monthly commitment, paid per project.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze restaurant Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, EBITDA, gross margins and operating profitability
• Process and reconcile POS, sales, inventory, purchasing, payroll and financial data
• Analyze food costs, labour costs, operating expenses, margins and profitability
• Evaluate delivery aggregator commissions, discounts, settlements and their impact on profitability
• Identify discrepancies, cost leakage and performance improvement opportunities
• Prepare KPI calculations, financial summaries and multi-location comparisons
• Use a proprietary audit platform to validate data and build structured analytical findings
• Support the preparation of professional restaurant performance reports

Required profile

• 3+ years of financial analysis, management accounting or business performance analysis experience
• Strong understanding of UAE restaurant economics, F&B cost structures and local accounting practices
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT requirements in restaurant financial reporting
• Familiarity with UAE food delivery aggregators, their commissions, fees, promotions and settlement reconciliation
• Proven ability to analyze P&L statements, calculate EBITDA and interpret financial performance
• Ability to work independently with incomplete or inconsistent datasets
• Professional English communication

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including Power Query, PivotTables and data reconciliation
• Experience with restaurant/F&B financials strongly preferred
• Power BI or similar tools is an advantage
