French Communication Part‑Time Faculty

About the role

Canadian University Dubai is seeking a part‑time faculty member to teach Practical French Communication within its General Education and Languages Department for the Fall Semester 2026‑27. The role focuses on delivering engaging, student‑centred language instruction that builds communicative competence and cultural awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate French language courses on a part‑time basis.
• Prepare and deliver lessons that promote language acquisition and student confidence.
• Develop and use appropriate teaching materials, activities, and assessments.
• Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Support student learning through consultation, guidance, and academic support.
• Contribute to course coordination and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress.
• Ensure course delivery aligns with approved syllabi, learning outcomes, and university standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in French, French Studies, Applied Linguistics, Language Education, Translation, Modern Languages, or a closely related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in French.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience teaching French as a foreign or second language.
• Strong classroom management and student‑engagement abilities.
• Commitment to student‑centred teaching and continuous improvement.
