French / Social Studies Teacher (Non-Arab Students)

About the role

The French / Social Studies teacher delivers effective and engaging instruction in French and Social Studies for non-Arab students, developing their knowledge, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The role creates an interactive and inclusive learning environment, uses technology and digital tools, assesses and monitors student progress and supports students individually. It also requires regular communication with parents, colleagues and school staff.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce classroom behaviour rules.
• Prepare lessons, units and projects to meet learning objectives, and set clear objectives for each.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to students' interests and learning styles.
• Create, assign and grade assessments such as tests, quizzes, essays and projects.
• Work one-on-one with students who need extra help and track their academic progress.
• Lead parent-teacher meetings and encourage students to explore learning opportunities and career paths.

Required profile

• Bachelor in Education (French major) or a degree in French Language and/or French as a Foreign Language or a closely related field, plus a PGCE.
• At least 2 to 3 years of teaching experience in American curriculum schools.
• Native-level fluency in French.
• A valid Equivalency Certificate.
• Degrees attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
• Immediate availability to join.
