Full-Time Open-Rank Faculty in Media Communication

About the role

The Department of Media Communication seeks two full‑time, open‑rank faculty members to join its undergraduate and graduate programs starting Fall 2027. Candidates will teach a range of theory‑based and skills‑based courses, supervise graduate research, and contribute to the department’s academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach six courses per year (three in each semester) across areas such as advertising, public relations, journalism, media production, research methods, and social media.
• Develop and deliver curriculum that reflects diverse cultural perspectives.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate student projects and theses.
• Engage in scholarly research or creative work appropriate to rank and publish findings.
• Participate in departmental committees, service activities, and university initiatives.

Required profile

• Doctoral or equivalent terminal degree in media and communication studies or a closely related field from an accredited, internationally recognized university.
• For Assistant Professor rank: emerging research or creative scholarship agenda.
• For Associate or Full Professor rank: established record of scholarly publications or creative work, teaching excellence, and service.
• Demonstrated ability to teach diverse courses and supervise graduate research.
• Commitment to teaching students from varied cultural and national backgrounds.
