Full‑time Bilingual Faculty – Public Administration (English & Arabic)

About the role

The College of Business Administration at the American University in the Emirates seeks a full‑time faculty member to teach Public Administration in both English and Arabic for the Diploma in Public Administration (DLPA) program. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, research‑informed instruction and support student learning through assessment and advising.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 12 credit hours per semester in Public Administration, Public Policy, Governance, HRM, Financial Management, or E‑Government.
• Design, update and manage curricula, integrating digital and e‑learning tools.
• Assess student performance, provide academic advising and mentorship.
• Contribute to departmental administration, program review and accreditation activities.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and collaborate with colleagues.
• Engage with the community and public‑sector institutions as appropriate.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Public Administration, Public Policy or a closely related field from an accredited institution (completed at time of hire).
• Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant discipline.
• At least three Scopus‑indexed publications (or five peer‑reviewed articles) within the last five years.
• UAE Ministry of Education equivalency (WES if degree not from the USA).
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at an internationally accredited university.
• Fluent proficiency in both English and Arabic (mandatory).
