GCC Content Strategy Lead

About the role

Canva is looking for a GCC Content Strategy Lead to partner with the MENAP Country Manager and Design Lead. You will own the local content library, ensuring it meets cultural relevance and drives growth metrics such as MAU, retention, and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and execute country‑specific content strategy, managing production across templates, elements and AI‑generated content.
• Maintain content health and relevance, aligning with Canva’s standards and local cultural trends.
• Gather feedback from sales, partners and local teams to refine strategies and improve impact.
• Own discovery and performance of content across search, recommendations and editorial surfaces.
• Lead editorial initiatives, activating cultural moments in collaboration with Marketing, Social and PR.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with the MENAP Country Manager, design, localisation, and partnership teams to unblock execution.
• Build relationships with local creators and partners to nurture a thriving content ecosystem.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in content strategy, regional business strategy, partnerships or similar roles within high‑growth tech or media companies.
• Deep understanding of local content trends, aesthetics and user preferences in the GCC market.
• Strong analytical skills to assess performance data and inform strategic adjustments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to align cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with comfort operating in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
• Fluency in Arabic and cultural knowledge relevant to the GCC region.
