General Accountant

About the role

IFPS UAE is looking for a skilled General Accountant to manage financial records, reporting, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable in Umm Al Quwain. The role ensures compliance with UAE accounting and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and record accounting transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and perform account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process payroll and monitor employee‑related payments.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain cash flow records.
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and audit preparation.
• Coordinate with internal departments on financial matters and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with UAE exposure.
• Strong analytical, organizational, numerical, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with other MS Office applications.
