General Counsel – Remote, US Bar, EMEA Overlap

About the role

We are looking for a proactive US‑bar‑qualified General Counsel to lead our in‑house legal function across three high‑growth workstreams: a top‑5 direct‑to‑consumer e‑commerce brand, a family office investing in hedge funds, and cross‑border legal structuring for multiple jurisdictions. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own critical legal domains and drive strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee FTC compliance, consumer‑protection matters, and e‑commerce regulatory audits.
• Manage hedge‑fund subscription agreements, custody protocols, and LP negotiations.
• Design and implement cross‑border asset‑structuring strategies.
• Coordinate and supervise outside counsel across all domains.
• Deliver monthly legal risk assessments and quarterly compliance sweeps to the executive team.

Required profile

• Active US bar admission.
• Significant experience in e‑commerce regulatory law, hedge‑fund documentation, and international legal structuring.
• Proven ability to operate autonomously in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of identifying material legal risks.
