General Insurance Underwriter

About the role

Assess client submissions and risks across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, and SME insurance lines. Prepare quotations, quote slips, proposals, renewal terms, comparisons, and recommendation sheets. Coordinate with insurers for policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations, refunds, and premium adjustments. Support the sales team and maintain accurate underwriting records, documentation, and CRM/portal updates.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client submissions and risks across multiple insurance lines.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, renewal terms, and recommendation sheets.
• Coordinate with insurers for policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations, refunds, and premium adjustments.
• Support the sales team and keep underwriting records, documentation, and CRM/portal updates accurate.

Required profile

• 3+ years of General Insurance Underwriting experience with an insurance brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, and SME insurance products and policy analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with insurance portals, policy issuance, quote preparation, and insurer negotiations.
• Excellent English communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with clients, insurers, and internal teams.
