General Manager – Food & Beverage

About the role

Driven to create unique home‑grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is seeking an experienced General Manager – F&B to lead a restaurant concept. The role will oversee overall performance, drive operational excellence, and develop the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee complete operations and performance of the restaurant concept.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and operational targets.
• Manage P&L, including sales growth, labor cost, food cost and operational expenses.
• Lead and develop Restaurant Managers and operational teams.
• Ensure consistent implementation of brand standards, SOPs and service excellence.
• Analyze business performance reports and implement improvement initiatives.
• Drive guest‑satisfaction initiatives and enhance overall customer experience.
• Support new openings, expansion projects and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with culinary, marketing, finance, HR and supply‑chain teams.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8–10 years of F&B experience, with proven experience as a General Manager or senior operations leader.
• Strong experience managing high‑volume restaurants or multiple outlets.
• Demonstrated P&L management and achievement of financial targets.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage large teams.
• Experience in premium casual dining, fine dining or multi‑brand restaurant environments preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Good understanding of F&B trends, guest experience and operational excellence.
