General Manager – Group QHSE Management

About the role

The General Manager of the Group QHSE Management Department will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of safety, health, environment and quality systems across the organisation. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures compliance with national regulations and drives a culture of safety excellence within the oil‑field services business.

Key responsibilities

• Implement national and governmental work‑safety laws, taking full responsibility for operational safety management.
• Develop group safety rules, system documents, operating procedures and assessment methods; monitor annual safety goals and performance.
• Design and deliver the company’s safety education and training programme; conduct risk identification and hazard source assessments.
• Coordinate emergency management, prepare emergency plans, run regular drills and manage incident investigations and reporting.
• Lead daily safety inspections, supervise corrective actions and manage major accident investigations.
• Strengthen the production and safety management organisation, mentor technical managers and build a professional QHSE team.
• Plan and enhance the group’s QHSE information‑management platform and knowledge‑management system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of safety management experience in the oil and gas sector, with proven QHSE system implementation.
• Valid safety‑management qualification certificate and thorough knowledge of national safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to set and promote annual safety objectives and lead cross‑functional teams.
