General Manager: Midas Integration and Delivery Office

About the role

MIDAS is a joint venture between MTN Group Fintech and Alipay, built to modernise MTN Fintech's digital financial services platform and support the deployment, stabilisation and operation of a new digital wallet ecosystem. As General Manager of the Midas Integration and Delivery Office in Dubai, you will hold the integrated delivery system of the joint venture together, turning the Head of Midas' strategy into a single plan spanning Product, Technology, Deployment, Commercial Enablement and Finance. The role coordinates rather than commands, deriving authority from the quality of its plan and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Convert the Head of Midas' strategy into a single plan covering Product, Technology, Deployment, Commercial Enablement and Finance, and provide delivery assurance and executive reporting.
• Consolidate demand, plan capacity, sequence delivery, track cross-functional dependencies and report to the Board and shareholders.
• Coordinate product, engineering and migration decisions, which remain within MTN Group Fintech governance.
• Own operating company readiness, stakeholder interface, governance and shareholder office, and the delivery relationship with the China R&D centre.
• Capture, track and revisit commitments made in Board papers, market engagements and shareholder sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4-year tertiary degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Programme or portfolio management certification (MSP, PgMP, PMP, SAFe or PRINCE2) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 12 years in programme, portfolio or delivery leadership, including at least 5 years at senior management level.
• Experience leading a programme management or delivery office for a large multi-country technology or platform programme.
• Preferred: fintech, payments, banking, telecommunications or platform experience; experience coordinating across product, engineering, deployment and corporate functions without direct authority; board-level reporting; capacity planning and portfolio prioritisation; cross-time-zone work with an external technology partner; experience establishing a delivery office.
