General Manager – Oilfield Engineering & Services

About the role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager to lead and grow an established industrial business serving the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors. The role combines commercial leadership with hands‑on operational oversight across engineering, manufacturing, and field services.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive overall business strategy, growth and profitability across the UAE, GCC, Middle East and North Africa.
• Identify new markets, customers, products and services; develop strong relationships with major Oil & Gas companies, EPCs and drilling contractors.
• Lead commercial activities including sales, tenders, pricing, negotiations, contracts and key‑account management.
• Take full ownership of revenue, margins, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital and P&L performance.
• Ensure profitable execution of engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, machining, repair, maintenance and field/service activities.
• Drive productivity, asset utilization, cost optimisation, quality, delivery and operational efficiency.
• Build a high‑performing leadership team and foster a culture of accountability and commercial thinking.
• Handle major customer escalations, strategic negotiations and evaluate investments, CAPEX and partnership opportunities.
• Maintain strong QHSE, regulatory and contractual governance while promoting digitalisation and data‑driven management.

Required profile

• Proven commercial and entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of building or transforming a business.
• Strong commercial acumen, understanding of pricing, margins and profitable revenue generation.
• Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into sustainable business.
• Experience leading large, complex industrial operations in the Oil & Gas sector.
