General Manager – Quarry Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our quarry operations. The role combines strategic planning, safety oversight, and day‑to‑day management to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production that meets customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily quarry activities, including extraction, crushing, screening and material processing.
• Develop and adjust production plans to align with sales forecasts and operational conditions.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental and mining regulations.
• Lead, motivate and develop quarry staff, supervisors and support teams.
• Maintain equipment availability, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and manage spare‑parts procurement.
• Monitor product quality and work with quality teams to resolve any issues.
• Prepare and manage operating budgets, track costs and identify efficiency opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience managing quarry or similar industrial operations.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety culture and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams such as sales, engineering, maintenance and quality.
