General Manager - Store Management

About the role

The General Manager – Store Management will lead all warehouse and store operations for a Tier‑1 construction contractor in the UAE. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures seamless material flow across multiple project sites and central depots while driving efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct end‑to‑end store and warehouse activities across project locations and central facilities.
• Design and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and accuracy.
• Oversee receiving, storage, issuance, and distribution of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE standards, and internal audit requirements.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Project Management, Finance, and Logistics teams to streamline material flow.
• Champion process improvements, digitalisation initiatives, and industry best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop store management personnel to achieve operational excellence.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and management reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in store management, warehousing or supply‑chain operations within construction.
• At least 8–10 years in a senior leadership role managing large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven ability to make strategic decisions, engage stakeholders and drive results.
• Strong analytical, planning and organisational capabilities.
