General Manager – UAE Operations

About the role

The Shaw Group is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead its UAE business and oversee a portfolio of projects across the region. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to the MENA leadership team and is responsible for aligning project delivery with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own the UAE P&L, ensuring profitability across all projects.
• Define and implement project management strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Oversee development of project plans, schedules, budgets, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Approve and manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget at a governance level.
• Ensure each project uses standardized Primavera P6 plans linked with Earned Value Management (EVM) and critical‑path tracking.
• Allocate resources across multiple projects, coordinating internal teams and external suppliers.
• Track performance of Project Management Teams (PMTs) and functional support departments, addressing inefficiencies and errors.
• Support the formulation of company strategy, business plans, and new opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in managing large‑scale industrial or construction projects.
• Demonstrated accountability for P&L and delivery of projects on time and within budget.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and change‑management capabilities.
• Ability to drive standardisation and continuous improvement across project processes.
