General Mechanic – Property Vehicles

About the role

We are looking for a General Mechanic to support the daily operation of property vehicles at a leading hotel in Dubai. The role involves routine checks, minor repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure all engineering trucks, shuttle vans and electric carts remain safe and operational.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on property vehicles, including oil and fluid checks, tire pressure and wear inspections, battery charging and spark‑plug replacement.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, lubrication and functional readiness.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, record test results, instrument readings and any equipment malfunctions.
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies, requisitioning items as needed to avoid downtime.
• Adhere to company safety, security and environmental policies; report hazards, accidents and store flammable materials correctly.
• Support the team by communicating clearly, handling telephone inquiries professionally and maintaining a clean, uniform appearance.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving and inspecting equipment up to 50 lb.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle or mechanical maintenance.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time onsite in Dubai.
