General Practitioner – Paediatrics

About the role

The General Practitioner – Paediatrics will deliver high‑quality medical care to infants, children, and adolescents at Danat Al Emarat Hospital. Working in both outpatient and inpatient settings, you will assess, diagnose, and manage common pediatric conditions while adhering to DOH Abu Dhabi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary medical care to pediatric patients, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct routine pediatric assessments, follow‑ups, and developmental monitoring.
• Manage minor pediatric emergencies and stabilize patients for referral when required.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with pediatric specialists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to clinical governance, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Completion of internship and general practice training.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi GP license or eligibility without restrictions.
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric clinical practice.
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑ and family‑centered approach.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
