General Practitioner – SEHA Clinics

About the role

The General Practitioner will join SEHA Clinics to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based patient care under the supervision of senior Consultant or Specialist Physicians. This role involves direct patient management, participation in ward rounds, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose and treat patients according to best‑practice standards, with senior physician oversight.
• Participate in daily ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients, and adjust treatment plans as directed.
• Organise diagnostic tests, chase results, and accurately document clinical information.
• Supervise and support interns as assigned by senior physicians.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies on admissions, consultations, prescribing, discharge, patient confidentiality and informed consent.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits and continuous medical education.
• Participate in teaching sessions and other educational activities as required.

• Ability to work under the supervision of Consultant or Specialist Physicians.
• Commitment to adhere to established hospital policies, procedures and confidentiality standards.
• Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support junior staff.
• Readiness to provide rotational on‑call coverage and respond to urgent patient needs.
