General Practitioner - Telemedicine (PURA)

About the role

The General Practitioner will deliver telemedicine services under the supervision of senior consultants at SEHA Clinics in Al Ain. The role combines remote patient consultations with occasional in‑person duties such as ward rounds and procedural preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct teleconsultations, examine, diagnose and treat patients according to best‑practice guidelines, with consent of senior physicians.
• Participate in daily ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients as directed.
• Order, coordinate and follow up laboratory and imaging tests, ensuring results are recorded promptly.
• Document clinical information accurately and timely in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Review investigation results, adjust treatment plans with consultant approval, and obtain informed consent for procedures.
• Supervise and mentor interns, liaise with other specialties, and provide on‑call coverage on a rotational basis including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, teaching sessions and departmental research activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a valid license to practice in the UAE; graduates of UAE medical schools may join after internship.
• Minimum of two years post‑internship clinical experience in a hospital, primary health centre, emergency department or similar setting for non‑UAE nationals.
• Ability to work under supervision of a Consultant or Specialist Physician and to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to continuous medical education, patient confidentiality and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
