General Superintendent – Process Control Engineering

About the role

The General Superintendent – Process Control Engineering leads expertise in cell process control across multiple potline technologies at Emirates Global Aluminium. The role drives performance, cost efficiency and quality improvements while ensuring safe and environmentally responsible operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set and monitor critical process parameters, KPIs and cost drivers for potlines at Jebel Ali and Al‑Taweelah.
• Lead process‑improvement projects, lean initiatives and capital‑project collaborations to reduce cost and enhance product quality.
• Supervise a team of engineers and technicians, providing training, performance management and knowledge transfer.
• Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting and financial performance for potline operations.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental and safety management systems.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in aluminium reduction or similar heavy‑industry process control.
• Proven ability to lead large technical teams and manage cross‑functional projects.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on KPI‑driven performance improvement.
