Geography & World History Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Geography and World History teacher to join its American‑curriculum primary campus. You will deliver engaging lessons to mixed‑gender classes, support the school’s vision of collaboration, leadership and creativity, and start immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet the needs of the whole ability range, using imaginative teaching methods.
• Organise classroom resources, create displays and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback to parents at conferences.
• Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when required.
• Manage behaviour in line with the school’s policy, acting as a positive role model.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, school events, outings and weekly extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, History or related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1‑2 years of teaching experience, preferably with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Passion for whole‑child education, high professionalism and respect for a diverse school community.
• Clean enhanced DBS or police check.
