Global Vice President – Operations & Systems

About the role

The Global Vice President – Operations & Systems will shape and execute the operational technology vision for DP World’s Ports & Terminals (P&T) division. Reporting to senior leadership, this executive will ensure that all operational platforms, software applications and digital solutions support business objectives, drive efficiency and enable scalable growth across the global portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Define the long‑term vision, target architecture and digital transformation roadmap for all P&T operational systems.
• Act as executive sponsor for major technology and software transformation programmes, overseeing governance, standards and lifecycle management.
• Lead the development of functional and technical specifications, roadmaps and implementation plans in partnership with business, technology and vendor teams.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies such as AI, analytics, IoT and automation.
• Establish system ownership models, decision‑making processes and performance measurement frameworks.
• Guide Business Units and Regional Offices on the use, optimisation and migration of in‑house systems (Zodiac, CCS, Rostering, Oracle, Maximo, Smart Solutions, Business Analytics, Terminal Operating Systems).
• Ensure accurate data collection, global integration and issue‑free go‑live of all operational platforms.
• Promote collaboration through TOS user groups and a centralized knowledge base.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in operational technology or digital transformation, preferably within ports, logistics or large‑scale industrial environments.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align technology initiatives to corporate objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior executives, business units and external vendors.
• Track record of delivering complex, multi‑regional technology programmes on time and within budget.
