Grade 1 Teacher – PYP

About the role

The school follows the Australian Curriculum and the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and seeks a Grade 1 teacher to deliver high‑quality learning experiences. The successful candidate will create engaging lessons, support pupils' academic, social and emotional development, and contribute to a collaborative international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate Grade 1 lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum and PYP.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and assess student progress.
• Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management, fostering a supportive classroom culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues on planning, professional learning and school activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field and a recognised teaching licence (e.g., PGCE, QTS, US licence).
• Relevant primary teaching experience; experience with PYP is highly preferred.
• Commitment to safeguarding, child protection and inclusive practice.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
