Graduate Civil Engineer – Bridges & Tunnels (UAE National)

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a recent civil engineering graduate to join its bridges and tunnels team. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative, sustainable transportation infrastructure across the region while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop discipline designs for bridges and tunnels in accordance with required standards and quality.
• Review all design outputs to ensure compliance with standards and project specifications.
• Support preparation of project submittals and obtain No Objection Certificates (NOC).
• Stay updated on technical developments within the bridges and tunnels discipline.
• Interpret contract documents and scope of deliverables.
• Embed health and safety practices into all work activities.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
• Provide regular status updates, highlighting risks or concerns, to the line manager.
• Participate in team and project meetings and contribute to the Business Unit strategy, including sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• UAE national.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in bridges and tunnels design.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, bridge and tunnel design standards, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Willingness to work on‑site and travel to project locations as required.
