About the role

Air Arabia is looking for a Graduate Engineer Trainee in Sharjah to develop over a 2-year period within its CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) environment. The trainee learns to evaluate and manage ADs (Airworthiness Directives) and SBs (Service Bulletins) and turn that knowledge into business control measures for the airline. Learning areas include AMP, systems, reliability, warranty, propulsion, APU, short and long term maintenance, technical records, technical library, logistics, rotatable parts management and special projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Support engineering development engineers and other CAMO staff in supporting line, hangar, MCC and other maintenance departments, including performance reviews, request analysis, management reporting, corrective measures and modifications.
  • Follow a training programme agreed with the Air Arabia Training Manager and the Head of Engineering, and carry out technical root-cause analysis and troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Analyse data and technical performance reports to spot trends, suggest solutions and proactive modifications.
  • Identify corrective measures and AMP inclusions or exclusions with justification and evidence.
  • Review technical documents under supervision for implementation of modifications and repairs, subject to CAMO management acceptance.
  • Take part in training with other CAMO areas such as Projects and Warranty, assist in closing occurrence reports and attend internal and external meetings and events.
  • Continue personal development and perform other duties advised by the direct supervisor.

Required profile

  • Degree in Aircraft Engineering, Electro-Mechanical or Aeronautical (LAE), or a higher diploma/certificate in a related field from a recognised university or college, with experience and exposure.
  • 2-5 years of university study with a specialisation in aviation.
  • Experience with aircraft airworthiness programmes and CAMO requirements, and familiarity with civil aviation authority rules (preferably GCAA).
  • Working knowledge of EASA Part 145, Part 21 and Subpart M; relative exposure to flight operations is a plus.
  • Team player in a fast-changing environment, accurate and detail-oriented, cost-conscious with good problem-solving skills.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MRO systems and web search.
  • Very good written and verbal communication, reporting and presentation skills.
  • Very good English.
