Graphic Designer - Advertising

About the role

Careers International is hiring a full-time Graphic Designer for its advertising business in Dubai. The designer turns client requirements into visuals, works closely with clients and creative partners, and ensures the final graphics and layouts are on brand and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize visuals based on client requirements.
• Liaise with clients to determine their requirements, timescale and budget.
• Prepare rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief.
• Work with copywriters and the creative director to produce the final design.
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on brand.
• Liaise with external printers or production teams so deadlines are met and material is printed or presented to the highest quality.
• Keep up to date with design and software trends.
• Examine existing processes, identify flaws and create solutions to improve design capabilities.
• Think creatively to develop new ideas, concepts and interactive design.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
• Experience as a graphic designer or in a related field.
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
• A strong eye for visual composition.
• Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Experience with computer-aided design.

Required skills

• Familiarity with design software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
• Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Freehand, After Effects, Premiere Pro.
• FIGMA.
